Drilling Flight Recorder developed for National Oilwell Varco
A successful Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) has been conducted for National Oilwell Varco and ConocoPhillips for the Drilling Flight Recorder.
Tellus Software has developed a Drilling Flight Recorder for Natinal Oilwell Varco. The combined software and hardware solution records all network traffic in the drilling network on an oilplatform in real-time. In the event of unexpected incidents an operator can play-back all drilling related information, analyse chosen parameters, view the operators' screens and generate reports of the incident.
This tool enables fast and easy finding of why incidents happend, and helps the operators generate good incident reports. The down-time can be cut to a minimum, because the time taken to find the reason for incidents are drastically reduced.
