Tellus Software is a young company with experienced employees. We are enthusiastic problem solvers, with a pragmatic attitude towards computing platform, programming language, and operating system. We are flexible and open minded.

We partner up with customers to solve real problems, and are known for giving objective advices. We are not technology pushers, but try to find the best solutions for our customers, with or without our software.

Distributed Systems (that is Distributed Operating Systems and Distributed Applications) is a key technology for us.
Up till recently the rapid increase in computing power in single core processors has helped many poorly designed software applications. The steady progression (by many known as Moore“s Law) gave us more computing power for less, and our old software ran faster for each hardware upgrade. But this is about to change.

Today dual and quad core is common technology. In the near future performance increase will most likely come from more parallelism (more cores and processors), and not higher frequencies. This is good news for the consumers, but a challenge for developers because programs must be multi-threaded. Tellus Software is ready for this paradigm shift in programming methodology, and have long experience with Distributed Systems.

The long term goal of Tellus Software AS is to change the way we use computers. We want to replace the traditional keyboard, mouse, and screen based interaction with technology designed for humans. We want to develop systems for humans on our conditions, not the computer's.
